When the guys over at Percy Nobleman said they’d like me to try out their new Face & Stubble Wash and Moisturiser before it hit the shelves, I jumped at the chance!

Having made the transition from full-time big beard aficionado to styled stubble connoisseur, I’ve been in the market for a face wash and moisturiser that’ll cope with my complex skin type, but also give my stubble/pre-beard the love and affection is so deserves.

Here comes the heroic Percy (also the name of my grandfather!), to save my skin/beard care worries – but is he all style and no substance? Well, I put him to the test.

Face & Stubble Wash

Being honest, I don’t tend to use face wash in the shower as I’ve found that my skin feels better without. That being said, I’ve been massively impressed with Percy Nobleman; the contrasting peppermint and cucumber extracts don’t conflict the way you would expect and leave your face feeling fresh and revitalised!

After-shower is where you really feel it, the tingling sensation that the peppermint leaves both helps you wake up in the morning, but also soothes you off to bed in the evening.

I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturiser to beat all moisturisers, however I hadn’t given any thought to my stubble. Using the moisturiser post-shower enhances the sensations left by the Face & Stubble Wash which is absolutely no bad thing.

After using the moisturiser for a week I’ve found that my stubble (grade 3) seems to have become softer to touch – but more uses will be needed to truly find out whether or not Percy has really done the trick!
